I think the incestious relationship MS has with PC manufacturers makes all the difference. MS PR doesn't want to admit they have a a monopoly, and that is why people are in an uproar. Monopalies are bad for the consumer. If you're going to charge more for less, than you should explain that you're actually loading your customer's PCs with spyware & in a deal with MS to push peope towards their goals, not the consumers'.
